Denver, Colorado - January 23, 2023
The UnBoxed2Lead BIPOC Leaders’ Peer Support Group is a one year cohort developed by UnBoxed2Lead co-founder and CEO, Dr. Robert Davis. The Scholarship is a way to create equity in the leadership development space. The community is structured to help members become less anxious, more authentic, world–changing, next level leaders who accomplish their dreams, improve their professional and family relationships, and create healthy workplace cultures.
The peer support group membership is supported by 1:1 coaching sessions, courses, bespoke networking, webinars, and bootcamps. The membership costs are fully covered through the generosity of foundation partners.
“Throughout the pandemic I coached a number of non profit executive directors and community leaders and realized that leaders need more than a coach, they need a community," says co-founder and CEO, Dr. Robert Davis. “Uncertainty and tension are still high as we work through the pandemic. The UnBoxed2Lead Leaders’ Peer Support Community groups help leaders manage stress and anxiety and provide space for growth, not only as professionals, but in their personal and home lives which are usually not viewed as being connected with leadership.”
“Now we are in the next phase of building equity for non profit BIPOC leaders by offering a full scholarship to become part of a customized peer support community. This community will help harness the dreams, hopes, and passions of BIPOC leaders while also providing training to help them develop as leaders and ultimately create a healthy workplace and happy personal lives.”
“Leading a nonprofit organization is a unique experience. Stress and anxiety are baked into its DNA and impacts both home and work life” says co-founder and COO R. P. Soriano. “The legacy of the pandemic expressed in events such as the 'great resignation', virtual work, and other economic challenges have hit our non profit leaders hard, and in particular BIPOC leaders who have historically had less access to resources that help build resilience in difficult times. Our generous sponsors have made it possible for UnBoxed2lead to provide twenty seats for two cohorts. As we build the program we hope more partners will come on board so we can expand our reach to help build up BIPOC leaders and their organizations.”
The first cohort begins March 28, 2023 and anyone who qualifies as ethnically BIPOC and leads their organization can learn more about the program and apply online by visiting www.unboxed2lead.com/scholarship.
Founded by Dr. Robert Davis and R.P. Soriano, MBA, the UnBoxed2Lead Leaders' Peer Support Community offers a collaborative approach to managing through anxiety, improving family and workplace environments, and capacity building. Divided into small groups, each cohort of nonprofit leaders meet twice a month and are facilitated by an expert who will frame each session, and offer tools and resources.
